Aisling was born March 16 1984 at Kildare Ireland. She is one of Ireland's most successful and popular comedians. Bea was on QI together with Stephen Fry. Aisling Cliodhnadh O'Sullivan (born 16 March 1984) more popularly known as Aisling Bea is an Irish actor, writer and comedian. Bea began her stand-up comedy career in 2011, after appearing in bits in several Irish television shows and British series since the year 2009. The comedian began to appear often on sketch comedy and sitcoms later in the year. Following her win during the Edinburgh Comedy Awards she began to appear regularly on various panel shows where she was a frequent guest. In 2016 and 2017, she was a team leader for 8 Out of 10 Cats. Also, she is a contestant of 8 Out of 10 Cats Does Countdown. Her parents include Brian O'Sullivan and Helen O'Sullivan. She has one younger sister, Sinead. In 2012, she was the only woman in history to be awarded the So You Believe you're Funny award. Bea Her maiden name, which is her birth name, is a tribute to her father who passed away. Aisling O'Sullivan, whose real name is as Cliodhnadh Aisling, was born at Kildare town, which is located in County Kildare. Bea's father Brian took his life at age three. He was a horse veterinary. Bea wasn't told the details of how he passed before she reached the age of 13. Bea was her stage name. Bea was a tribute for her father. Bea wrote an opinion piece in The Guardian, published in 2017, about her experience with suicide. Bea (and her younger sister Sinead) were raised within the home of Helen Moloney, a instructor and trainer of jockeys who was a professional jockey. They were obsessed with race meetings and horses. Bea began her career as a tour guide at the Irish National Stud. However Bea knew early that the race industry wasn't the right fit for her.
